    Igneous MFGS Mount Point

I need to find out the alpine mounting point for a pair of 185 MFGS ASAP to get them mounted for The EC Mini that I'm headed for on thursday.

put boot center right in the little notch formed by the neck/chin.

if they are off slightly from 1 ski to another, go with the forward of the 2.

dunno if this is right or not, but it's worked for me on the 5 pair of iggy's i've ski'd...

I assume you're referring to their logo, these have a plain white topsheet and no logo. I would need an actual length from the tail.

    Mounting instructions from Adam:

measure the ski from tail to tip- very important - do not follow the
curve of the ski shovel. just a straight line from tail to tip. should be
about 1835mm on the 185cm length ski. divide this number by 2. that number
is the distance from the tail, yes the tail, of the mid chord line. move
yourself forward 10-15mm for the toe line.

in inches chord length of the 185cm is 721/4
    toe line at 361/2

Edit: This was for a pair of 185 FGS
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

estobum, you pick those up from Dave?
I grabbed the 185 FGS with that white topsheet and followed the same mount intructions that Iggyskier recommended. Well balanced and sweet skis. That extra plastic and glass dampens them up a bit. Might see you up there on Saturday - I'll be the guy with the other pair of white iggies with a swallow.

Yup. I'll either be on these or a pair of motherships. Look for the flaming Colorado logo on a blue helmet.

Should be a good skiercross/hardpack ski.

I'm wanting to mount the 195 FaGS Iggies I got from Jumper (thanks man!), the boys at Igneous must be too busy making skis to return an email, so this thread is what I dug up.

The above instructions seem pretty basic, except the 10-15mm for the toe line part. That seems like a pretty broad range, any suggestions? I'll be using these primarily at Big Sky, I'm 6', 175 lbs, and like long walks on the beach.

It is only 1/2cm, so it shouldn't make that much of a difference, but with iggies you want to get it right. let me track down a tape measure and I will let you know exactly how my FFFs ended up.

Also - Jumper has another pair of 195 FGS already mounted so I am sure he could measure them real quick and see where he ended up.

just thought I'd chime in here and gloat allittle about my new , soon to be here, 185 FGS's with purple heartwood topsheets...hell yeah!!! Can't wait, should be here anyday.

I know I don't know any of you, but I can't talk to anybody else about these cause nobody else even knows what they are. Not trying to sound cocky...just super excited to rip on these things.

So those mounting specs are right from Adam?

At 325 BSL, the formula from Adam puts my 185 FGS at 76.5 to 77 from tail

Marshall's Iggy neck point puts boot center at 75cm.

Is Marshall's formula more of a pow setting?
Or maybe my graphics are further back than most.
