    New iMac owner- HELP!!!

Got the new iMac with the added 1 gig memory. Lovin it. Easiest set-up out of the box, ever. 5 minutes from opening the box, I am on TGR. Anyway, how do you enlarge the Safari web page? It only will enlarge to half the screen. I want the whole screen to show the page. Thanks for the help, I am sure there will be more questions to come.

Yeah Focus, thanks. I really think I am going to love this machine. Just figuring out the quirks. Can't wait to rip my first DVD- heard it takes half the time on this thing.

go spend 30bucks and buy a tiger/mac book, it'll be the best cash you'll spend for a while. If you're dropping a g on the computer...follow up with the manual, so you at least get your g's worth. You won't regret it.

Congrats on the purchase; I've been trying to convince my parents to switch my G4 Cube with a brand new iMac G5. OSX's widgets are quite useful, especially (for me) the translator, weather, and the installable wikipedia widget especially. Wikipedia is your friend.

Speaking of widgets, there is one that tracks snowfall at the major ski areas. Search for it on the Apple website.

I got the new Intel one. It is really really fast. Using MactheRipper, I ripped The Prophecy in 25 minutes. I like that.

you gonna run any design like apps? photoshop etc...?

i'm curious to hear how the emulator runs design apps on the pertium chip. word on the street is that it's all good for general use but the new chip is gonna be balls for high-end pixle pushin and type slinging people.

when they get all the design programs running native on the chip...

    OOOOOOOoooooooohhhhh YES!!!

I will be getting into some of it. My buddy is very involved with Macs, and has access to all sorts of free software. That made my descision a lot easier to get this machine. Certain old Mac software will not run on this thing, like Final Cut, etc. I am getting a 20d at some point in the near future, so I can wait for the Photoshop apps. I'll let you know what they look like when I get one.

Glad your enjoying your mac. Look into replacing safari with firefox. I've been a lot happier using it.
Damn, we're in a tight spot!
