Looks like a 1984 meets vigilante in the matrix kinda thing. Could be good. WIll be interesting to see if Natalie Portman with her head shaved does anything for me.

finally saw it last night. I liked it. the wacky alliteration not withstanding, it was pretty cool. I thought the slow motion scene of V taking out all the guard dodes was kinda weak and not necessary...but all in all it was cool. though the cop predictably let natalie portman hit the lever on the train and I thought they should have given a bit more as far as the thought police guards...being out after curfew etc...
on the vinzclortho 57 star movie rating system, I'd give this one 42 1/2 stars. not the best movie ever, but worth a rent.

I really enjoyed it. Natalie Portman makes me feel like a pedophile when she looks like a sexy middleschool boy, but whatever. I'd give it 8.3 boners.

I rented it last night. Liked it
Saw it in the theaters when it came out and loved it. Great flick, and yes - I cheered at the end - does that make me a terrorist?

I just finished the graphic novel* and it was highly entertaining.

Watched this last night and loved it. It's been pretty hit and miss at video store lately. But I thought this was great. It also may have been because I never saw any commercials for it so had no idea what to expect, except all the hoo-haa about Natalie shaving her head.
I'm not sure if I should say this out loud but she did look pretty good in the little school girl outfit. Don't judge me.
how about if I agree with you and raise you a priest outfit?Originally Posted by Mex

V came from Netflix so I watched it last night. I found it quite satisfying in relation to the graphic novel although...while they talk a bunch about it in the special features...the film is quite light on the moral ambiguity that lends so much power to the book. And, while I can forgive them for excluding some integral parts and adding some new scenes there were a couple of scenes that they went out of their way to soften that really took away some punch (notably the opening scene).
Other than that, I liked it a lot and they captured the feel of lots of the book's frames without being hokey about it. And despite Moore's objections that it is too much about the US/das shrub...I found that to be a relatively baseless criticism, especially in lieu of his admitted naivety w/r/t the political climate of england in the early 1980s.
Two thumbs up though, smarter and more thought provoking than 99.9% of the tripe coming out of hollywood...and...I do love Natalie Portman.
