Narrowest ski in your quiver is that you use is__?

    Volkl Explosiv 95mm waist

Since most folks here seem to be fataholics, I am curious about this. My search skills didn't show this topic so maybe I'm jong free.

*(I have Dynastar Skicross 10 at 68mm but I have skied them once in two years. So they don't count)

I just bought some 200cm Volkl Snow Rangers (79ish waist?) for an early season rock ski. Kept reading that they have basically the same sidecut as the Explosiv (a favorite), and same construction (2 layers of metal laminated indestructibility), so for the price... why not.

Next up is 92mm, Nordica Beast, AT only.

    Resort - Explosive (95)

Randonee - Rossi "Easy Rider" - I think this was a an early version of Cut 11.5 (waist - estimated 85mm)

    Tele - Nordica something (ski swap) - 180 cm - 80ish waist

For hard snow days I have a pair of Volkl 6* at 68mm. I had them out this past Sun.

    Next narrowest is 195 XXX @ 90mm.

"That's one of them Rangers" LOTR

That was my ski for two years (before upgrading to explosives)....200cm 'Ranger. Loved that ski, and actually still have 3 of them unmounted in garage. Even took that ski to AK. Good memories.

Last day I skied was Randonee on Shasta.....they kicked my ass, that was when I bought a 183 for BC.

I got mine off ebay with Salomon 850 bindings on them; bindings are near mint, but 10 DIN (oh well), and the skis are in pretty good shape but have been stored somewhere damp -- quite a bit of surface rust on those edges. I think I'll let a shop take care of the rust.

70 mm volkl g3s as a rock ski. but i've gone fat and i won't go back, and i imagine that it'll be very hard to convince me that a particular day is "too rocky"

I have a pair of Moships too that are 97, but they are for park and dicking around, which I haven't really done all season.

Vicious @ 98, and it's going to stay that way. Those are my only skis right now, but looking to get something 120+ (Thugs are what I'm kind of set on) for next year and some longer rock skis in the Nobis' mold.

I've got a pair of Elan GSX WC, with a whopping 62 mm waist! They're crazy fast on ice and useless for everything else. What do I win?!

The GSX is part of the quiver, but my old 188 G4 (83 mm waist) get most of the ice time.
I seem to have confused my intentions with my abilities...

89mm, Atomic Stomp, the old yellow ones. They are so badly beat that I havent skiied them this year, and I might just toss them. They are delamming and the edges are orange from rust.

If it wasn't for sockerfarsan I could win the award with 80mm Public Enemies. They get used Midwest and South (soon swapping to Fischer Rius, still 80mm). They're still fat compared to most skis in Virginia..... (or Wisconsin for that matter).

Suckers... my skinny is 48mm in the waist... next one being ~78mm and then 90, 91 and 107. The ~78 nor the 90mm versions haven't come out this season, yet.

That would be my brand new Madshus hypertronic XC skis at hmm about 40 mm.

But for alpine I stick with my volkl g4's which are now borderline rockskis. Edges aren't too good anymore, which sucks as they are primarily used for pisteskiing. Actually I think it is a great piste ski, but not so good off-piste.
