Am waiting for a warranty on my board boots, and some new bindings. So I skied today down at Sundance. While it's not as rad as the Bird or as Soul-ly as Alta, it's a fun place. 'Specially when it's free and the warmest skiing in Northern Utah at around 6 degrees.
Anyhoo, Mrs. Frizzo's friend at the demo shop loaned me some boots for the day that actually fit, and it makes a bunch of difference. I had a good time trying to carve around on groomers and making shitty turns in the bumps.
So until my gear comes in I'm gonna ski. See how much I can progress. My goal by Thursday: Elevator shaft.
Not really. But anyhoo, I'll be the guy wearing 2-3 pair of socks.
Frizz - oh yea, elevator shaft is a nice little shot. I learned to ski at Sundance, night time lesson. My dad took me up there one cold December night (my birthday) and I've been hooked since. I remember thinking "Oh wow, ELEVATOR SHAFT" but now it's just a nice little shot, steep and short. I need to get down there to Sundance once this year - on one of those Southern flows that nails the dance while the rest of the wasatch gets 2-4"
