other names for a volkl G4?

A buddy has trashed his pair so I'm now looking for him, but volkl has changed the name of this ski every year I think.

what else is the G4 called? not interesed in the mantra/karma.

Also if anyone has a line on a nice pair in 188cm..

Note: *most* G40s are the same as the later skis, but not all. Some of the first ones had sidewalls and were slightly different dimensions. The cap version was the same.

friend of mine got goats to replace his thrashed g4s. He said they were a lot turnier, but he said he preferred them as a touring setup.

Be careful of the AX4s. The kooky topsheet delams. Mine lasted about 6 days, but of course Volkl warrantied them. In the KHMR fleet, I think every pair of AX4s and 7-24s delammed the season I was there. They are fun skis though. Oh, yeah, and buy my 777s instead
