    Excercising with Mono?

I just got diagnosed with mono a few days ago, so my season is over.

Has anyone here ever tried to exercise when they were still showing symptoms of the virus?

I only had a few symptoms - white buildup in the throat, swollen glands under the neck and feeling tired.

But I never had a fever, swollen spleen, loss of appetite, pain the abdomen or aching muscles.

I've been told to take it easy by the doctor, but I really don't feel tired anymore and was thinking about trying to do 30 minutes of spinning on the exercise bike every day. Nothing to get my heart rate to far up, no impacts or stress on muscles in the spleen area.

Has anyone had a doctor that would let them do some minor exorcising with mono?

When I had mono I was told not to exercise, but after 2 weeks I was cleared to do whatever I wanted. My mono hit really hard for one week then I was fine. For that one week I was in bed on prednisone and vidodin and couldn't even think of exercising.

wait until they clear you. Ruptured spleen -> emergency surgery -> bills -> recovery -> not a good time.

If you're feeling good and things are looking good, presumably you'll be good to go shortly. Go catch up on your reading in the meantime?
