20" new at Baker kids, wishing my car wasn't stuck in the shop or I'd have been gone like now.

Possible Alpental for me tomorrow (Friday) and maybe on the weekend too.
If I can make it to Crystal, of course, I will go there. It all depends upon the snow totals though....

definite Krygyzstan for me tonight and tomorrow. Hey, flying OEF is a big improvement on OIF shit.

And yes Scotty, jacking skis (even if worthy and still underused) while I'm out in this shithole, yeah...that'd be fucked.

WTF I checked the forcast yesterday and figured it would only be a dusting at Baker so I didn't head down today. And they get 20 inches.

Okay someone clue me in to the correct sites to get my snowforcasts from. I missed a fucking pow day for no good reason

Heavy Snow Warning today until 6pm!

Extended for areas from Snohomish/King Country line South toward Mt. Rainier. Another 10"-12" expected.

    WhoooooHooo!!!!!!!!!!!

save some tomorrow! If I could get out of work Friday, I'd be there.
(though a midweek appearance either Wed or Thu is likely for me next week!)

    The Alpy Report

W Night: About 6-10 new of what I'll call medium consistancy at the top of the armstrong, transitioning to just a little sticky at the bottom of Armstrong. The Cascade Traverse was closed becuase, well, thanks to a massive avy coming from Shot 6, there was no Cascade Traverse any more.

Traversing out a little furhter down low yielded some cut up shots. I hit bottom a few times, but not bad.

Th Morning: At least 10-12 of new heavy stuff. The Cascade Traverse is rebuilt, but there's mega debris halfway down Meister, Esfallen and Dom. The upper mountain probably would have been sweet, but I had to bail at about 11 to get to work That being said, on the lower mountain the bottom is gone, and we're back to cut up heavy pow goodness.

Patrol was saying that there was 30" of new in places on the upper mountain, and they blasted everything. Adrenlin, in particular, slid and ran all the way down Felsen to the lower lower part of I.

It's still nuking up there, and if the snow level falls, tomorrow will be another good one.

Those look fucking dope. I think the 185 FFGS will be more than enough of a touring ski for me.

Now you've got me thinking again! If I did that though, I'd go for the 120s.

I just got back from alpy. I only got one run up top and it was pretty chunky heavy snow. But later in the day the lower mountain was really good. snow was light and since the pass closed there was like 20 other people on the mountain. wind heavy snow kept everything fresh. I even got a few face shots under the lights. tomorrow is gonna dEEp I'm gonna be up there at about noon. There wasnt a whole lot open up top and it closed early due to avy danger. They closed 1 for a half hour to do bombing this after noon too.

Looks like I'm gonna be lone-rangering it at Xtal on Saturday. I just can't wait 'til Sunday and have plans for Sunday evening anyway. I hope they can get the BC open.

Jumper & fubar, my scanner's on the fritz or I'd post some of those pics I took a few weeks back. Got some real good ones of Jumper, but for some reason the ones of fubar are all from long distance through a blizzard...

Arty posted a smilie a few months back of a head ramming into a desk...where can I find that one because that would PERFECTLY express what I am feeling right now.

God I am such a whiner...but this weekend is yet ANOTHER weekend that I will be forced to sit out because I am a schmuck with a big kid job.

At least your big kid job's only an hour and a half from Meadows.

I suppose it's time I took up surfing...or bull fighting...

get on a plane to SeaTac, homie. I've got a place for us in Seattle and I'll be at Crystal tomorrow (with my buddy who is a dedicated blue skier). I can even bring skis for you, just haul your boots and we're golden.
