    $60 for a facking mount?!?!

Either its been a long time since I've gotten skis mounted, or a long time since I've paid to have skis mounted, but 60 fucking dollars? You've got to be kidding me. That mount better come with a handjob and a kiss goodnight.

I paid $35 last month in Truckee at Tahoe Dave's, bringing in my own skis and binders at 9pm, picking them up the next morning at 8am.

    So yeah, $60 seems outfuckingrageous.

REI charges $19.95 ($14.95 for Fritschis sans release test) if you are a member. The tech at our local REI is good too, so I've been going back to him. The people are usually chill at REI since they aren't too concerned about raking it in hand over fist. $60 is a lubeless fisting.

A sixer of Fat Tire Ale usually gets it done ASAP. The key is to go in after 8 am on a week night, when the only other option is to vacuum or straighten clothes racks. $8 of beer gets me a 15 minute mount...gotta love shop techs who love a good ale.

I had frequented one local shop for years. Mega bucks were spent here outfitting the wife and kids on a yearly basis. Anyway, I buy a pair of skis on ebay and I take them into this shop where I proceed to buy bindings. The guy is writing up the sale and says " oh by the way, it will be $60. to mount the bindings because you didn't buy the skis here" This asshole knows I have spent big bucks in this place and he is trying to hose me. I took the sales receipt, ripped it up grabbed my skis and left. That asshole cost himself a regular customer. I have not returned since. In fact, my wife bought me a Christmas present there last year and I returned it and bought the same item elsewhere.
