    Bridger Did Not suck Today

Easily Waist deep off the ridge.
Found real good snow all around. Thought the ridge was closed so we shot over to the fingers and hit Z-fan first. Cut across southbowl and made the Hike. Skied Coneheads because we were the first people into it. Good stuff all around. Wind picked up around 2 so we split, had to make it back to teach tonight anyway.

This is officially the first time I've skied anything deeper then 6-8"s. Man o man did I struggle. Got some faceshots, did some faceplants. All in all it was a good day.

Didn't stop to take any pics and the cord pulled outta the helmet cam so I don't have anything to make this thread more then useless. Hopefully someone else will step up.

Saw some Bro's standing around in line. Tall dude Blue helmet. Didn't hear me asking for change. Made me drool, can't wait for 'em to show up in the mail.

Days like this make me really really miss Bridger. Today Snowbowl got a whopping 3", dust on crust. You gotta love that BBC. Get in the habit of calling the snowphone every morn and you will reap the rewards.

Weather shift? From the bit of snow we've been having?

Holy crap... what north bowl road? It looks like there is a little more coverage this year though; the bottom cliffs in the O's are less than 10 feet right now, when completely skied out.

Super dry snow, first really deep cold smoke since opening week.

Where would this said pillow line be? Can't think of too many true pillow lines inbounds at Bridger. Typically, they pillows that do look good would be nothing but one drop straight to rock.

Yeah, moving to Bozeman from Newhampshire has been a big learning experience. Got to follow Baseweldr and some locals around. That definately opened my eyes. Still making improvements every day I head out. The guys I skied with today were solid, but didn't know the place like the back of their hand so I did an Ok job of keeping up. I just hope to get enough days under my belt to keep base and his buddies in sight when he rolls around again.

On one hand I'm thinking it would've been nice to stick to the bowls more so I could have room to get my powder turns a bit more solid, but on the other hand I'm glad I got to experience the tight lines off the ridge.

I know one of my biggest problem is that I'm not aggresive enough; coming across the fall line too much and not getting into a good short turn rhythm...
I'd end up moving so slow across the fall line that I'd submarine to the bottem and then be stuck (thats frustrating when you're buried to mid thigh with feet of powder on top of your skis)

Thoughts/ tricks/ tips on how to get over this?

Iid tell you but I'd have to...

actually I have no friggen idea the name of the area. but creativity played a role, because it was in the middle of a near mogul field. just a bit of poking around did the trick.

mm slayed it today as well, i think i saw his head about a total of 32 seconds today. the rest of the time it was buried in cold smoke.

^thought y'all may've been elsewhere sledneckin near mtnman (I see his shiteating toothless redneck grin in that sledpic ) to some exotic Nbridgers pillowline while bein' celluloid heroes with slipness or somethin....
(if you do get out that way keep an eye out for bobdog and his personal portable ropetow thingy that runs off some kind of weedwacker engine, patent pending... )
be careful on the ridge today, all that snow can make it easy to drop off the wrong side... heh
one last repeat pic from the week after turkeyday bridgerbowlcloud snow machine- hansdog coldsmokin' it

Looks like it's skiing nice. Just rolled back from NV last night, and I'm going to head to Bozeman today to see if I can pick up some scraps from the storm over the next few days.
