does cheap or free parking in vail exist??

I dont want to wait for the bus out in the middle of nowhere, but I also dont want to shell out 16 bucks again to park my truck. Isnt there a happy medium??

suggestions that wont get me towed are welcome.

By Ford park there is a free lot, fills up early - 5 min walk to Riva Bahn

That use to be a free lot, but they stuck a gate on it. It's not free anymore.

Theres also a lot just up the road from the golden peak. Its a short park (gated, but my friend and I have never been caught). Anyhow its about 2 min up the road from the gold peak lodge. Have fun gettin sum, park at your own risk.

if its a weekend, maybe its just sundays, but you can park for free in the municipal lot. Make a right out of the first circle at the main vail exit. (sorry dont know which one) and its on your right about a 1/4 mile up. You can walk to the gondy lifts from there (about 5 minutes) get there early always fills up, especially on pow days.
