WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Today I skied in 55 degrees, bright sunshine, in a tee shirt, perfect spring skiing. The trouble is it's the first weekend of Jan. Would you guys out west please send us some winter weather.

I've got a few extra feet of snow in the frontyard. Traded in my skis for a snowshovel.

Yesterday was decent, today was pretty crummy in the rain. Good stuff is on the way though...

    Hijack:
TJ, the 777s rock. Had them out yesterday in a few fresh inches, and a few days before on the what-the-hell-its-50-degrees-out day. Totally awesome, going to be my everday stick for everything but ice solid bumps.

Dude you just made my day. Glad to know that I could help a fellow maggot feel the stoke. We will most definately have to ski together again this year. Remember the key is under the mat if you come up this way again, but you do have the honda wagon rigged up for bumming it .

Hey let me know how your research is going. Daniel is pretty interested.

And yes. Fat ski's with sidecut should be used everyday. I'm going to get me a 178cm pair of Inspired to use for everyday the rest of the year. Don't be afraid to ski bumps with those. I did a few times and I was shocked at how good they performed. Remember to do a snow dance. We really need it.

I know it hit 50 today but somehow during the night were suppose to get 3 to 6 inches.

If you don't like the weather in Michigan just wait 5 mins.

The weather isn't the prob. It's the vertical. However what we get the EC seems to get, unless they have a noreaster which doesn't seem to be coming.

Okay. Looking outside, I see a telephone pole(150ft easy) and green grass. That is perfect conditions since I'll be in Alta this time next week.

spent Friday & Saturday at Sunday River - yesterday was a bit odd, alternating from snow/freezing rain/hail/wet rain/fog most of the day.

BUT, they opened up white heat for the first time Sat, after some overnight natural & made snow, and that was pretty sweet in the morning, with some nice (not too wet, but still heavy) powder, made a few laps on that before it got too chewed up, and the visibility got really shitty around lunch.
