    Lange comp 120 FR 11 & 11.5 same size?

I was at my local shop looking to purchase a pair of these boots, and was perplexed by the fact that the size 11 and 11.5 seem to be the same size. The stickers in the outside of the shell say different sizes, but both the liners say 11-11.5. The shells are also the same size when compared to each other. The shell does not have a plug at the toe or heel, and the thickness of the plastic also seems to be the same. Does any one know what the deal is? I will probably go with the smaller size because it fits the same as the 11.5. I was just curious. Thanks for any insight.

Shells only come in whole sizes, liner thickness is the difference in half sizes.

The liners are exactly the same (same tags) the foot beds in the liner and the in the shell are also the exactly same (same numbering). What gives?

unless you wear a 13+shoe, i dont recommend anything over a size 10. they pack out quickly.

Some manufacturers will alter the thickness of the liner, but most just change the thickness of the footbed between half sizes. The shell doesn't change.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

^ What he said. The only difference between Lange half and whole sizes is the thickness of the footbed.

Just buy Langes in whole sizes. If you wear an 11.5 shoe, buy an 11, or better yet, buy the 10. I wear a 10 to 10.5 street shoe, and my Lange Comp 120 FR's are 9's. Fit perfectly (tight) the way I want them to.

Edit: I know they will seem too small going a size down, and my first few days skiing in them they were TIGHT... but they start to come around and you realize you got the right size. Especially when you are going blurry fast.

Ok, Ok, I wear a 12.5 Street shoe and the 11's are tight. My toes are firmly agains the front of the liners (with heels back). I'm going skiing after work Thursday and Friday, and will also ski the weekend (as much as I hate to) to breaK them in. Thanks for the feed back.
