also, and sorry for the blatant ignorance since i know someone will comment

but i hear about corbets alot, like random refrences, is it some gnarly cliff or something. i am very excited to start jumping cliffs (i was too pussy at a younger age)

    thanx

I dunno. I heard the groundhog came out of his hole, took a crap and then ate it. Which we all know means that the 28th-11th are the dates to hit.

Google Corbet's to get an idea of what you might find there.

hmm...i don't know. see, I don't think I'll be there during march and my skis bring snow. [proven fact] Talk to someone who's skis bring snow, maybe you can convince them to go. If I do end up making another trip (just to mention, I went during that two-week period after new year's) I'll let you know. You can thank me later.

Yeah, they come with an airplane and a cloud-seeding apparatus.

Actually I think they're just blessed.

I'm pretty sure that JH (as in Jesus H. Christ) is coming back around the 20th of the month but I could be totally wrong.

im sure i will try corbets or at least act like im gonna try then pussy out

i really dig the whole no shadows 4 shadows terrain and want to go do those a bunch and powder 8's and cody bowl...

the sucky thing is i really wanna just explore the BC for freshness but i have no beacon... no one to ride with (all my friends ride bulls not snowboards) and no knowledge of JH at all yet =(

anyone else have a particularly fun run that i definatley need to try?

btw. S&S looks worse? than corbets to me

If you don't have a beacon then its likely you don't have any BC knowledge so I'd say def stay in bounds unless you hire a guide. Though in bounds there are a bunch of places you prob would like if you haven't been to Jackson before. Hit up Tower 3, Alta and Expert Chutes, Crags, and Casper bowl.

I'll echo it again, if you don't know what you're doing DON"T GO OB. Even if its low avy danger if you don't know the area you could easily end up cliffed out a hundred feet up (rock springs) by accident.

rock springs is pretty good if he sticks to the green river traverse and drops in past the cliff band, the lower trees are fun..and it gets lots of traffic
