The kid was on CNN tonight. I just got the end of the interview so I didn't know what had happened. That's insane.

Sgt. Randy Brown. "The young fellow took a wrong turn and went over this 1,500-foot bluff."
I wonder how long his free fall was? I'd say it has to be close to 30 seconds...where's smart maggot when you need him....

Wife to husband before they left in the morning......"now honey don't let sunny get lost and huck any 1500 foot bluff's today OK"

Teenage Burglar Survives Times Square Plunge
    Tue January 6, 2004 11:09 AM ET

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A teenage burglar escaped from the custody of security guards and then survived an eight-story drop out of a Times Square office building, police said.
The 19-year-old woman was caught trying to steal wallets from coat pockets in the offices of a private company on Broadway and 42nd Street on Monday afternoon.

While guards were waiting for police officers to arrive, she escaped, opened a 10th floor window and stepped onto a ledge overlooking busy 42nd Street.

Police said the woman "either fell or jumped" and landed on scaffolding on the second floor, breaking several bones.

The woman was arrested and charged with burglary. She was being treated in a hospital for critical injuries.

Haven't seen much more but there was another account I read. The first one that I linked to made it sound like freefall but the other implied he rode the sled down and 'at times' was on a slope that was effectively vertical. So I guess no matter how steep it was it was still holding snow and he basically rode it. The next ledge I guess was worse. Didn't see any accounts from the new born stunt rider myself. That whole spending a night on the mountain with a broken leg and a sled suit full of shit is still the part that bothers me most. Now that he's done this he's a shoe in for that stupid challenge show where they eat worms and roaches and stuff.

    Going to Hell???

Man Dies After Crashing Stolen Snowmobile
28 minutes ago Add U.S. National - AP to My Yahoo!

WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A man riding a stolen snowmobile died after crashing into a priest's home as the clergyman said his evening prayers.

The Rev. Leo Rosloniec, 76, was sitting and praying by his Christmas tree Monday when the snowmobile barreled into his front yard, taking out a mailbox before plowing into concrete steps leading to the rectory's porch.

The snowmobiler, Carl Charles Durham, was thrown from the sled and landed beneath an image of a cross on the front door of the priest's home.

Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Austin said Durham, 34, was driving "at a very high rate of speed" on a nearby street and ran a stop sign before crossing into Rosloniec's yard.

Durham was not wearing a helmet, authorities said.

Rosloniec, who was not injured, is the priest at nearby St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Wright Township church is 13 miles northwest of Grand Rapids.
