Hmm, well the goods are pretty well destroyed at this point. The rain followed by 80mph winds and -20 temps didnt exactly help things.

haha i figured as much. Mostly I was hoping I could run into some people who know the mtn and are fun to ski with. I'm going up with family during the week and I love them and all, but they are no fun to ski with.

The one good positive thing is that since this season has sucked, I've decided to ski some more park and I'm progressing their at least.

In the park, like its my first year really trying to throw down in the park, and I think I'm moving along at decent clip.

Hmmm, well apparently it rained on thursday night before the deep freeze and 80mph winds. What was great on wednesday was now fluted ice the entire way down. Even at the top of the notch there is pavement sticking through.

The best part of the day was skinning up.

Wow, I can't believe you tried to ski. I hiked Snake Mt in Addison and it was a frozen stream.

sounds sweet, glad I didn't go. I'm going to hike or maybe skin the notch road today with my dogs purely for the sake of getting my dogs some exercise.

The road is so rough from the wind and ice that its like skiing across cobbles. You get the same sensation in your feet skiing that you do after you let go of a walk-behind lawnmower--this bizarre tingly/lumb feeling.

We were looking to check some of the south facing stuff on the mansfield side of the notch--hoping that would of gotten loaded some, but everything was so baked/frozen on wed/thurs that any snow on top was just sitting on a layer of ice.

The second half of the tour was canned in order to return home and drink tea and watch a ski movie.

Oh, apparently the Sunsation quad got struck by lightning on friday. It wasnt running yesterday.

Maybe ice skating in your yard would be a better option?
