    Fat Kid Needs Fat Skis

Wow, just came back from the doctors for a 1 year check-up from my blown knee last year and I must say that I am fat piece of shit now. Before the accident i was about 200lbs and in good shape. Now I"m about 228............

I'm in the market for a new set of fat skis and want to ask any other butterballs out there what they ride and what floats your rather large boat.
I'm 6 ft. tall by the way also so i'm looking for something that comes in a 180+ legnth.

Any recomendations? (Asides from working a few more salads into my life)

Going out this weekend to try out my new Squads.
Will let you know how they ski after the weekend.

I'm at about 220~230 (i really packed on some lbs. the month after I quit chewing tobacco! - I quit on New Years). Right now my fat skis consist of a pair of the yellow k2 AK Launchers and a pair of Pocket Rockets. I pretty much ride the PR's all the time, and I like them for about 90% of the time. I little scary at really high speeds, but otherwise a good all over do-anything ski (i.e. the Teneighty Gun). I would also suggest talking to some of the Bro owners, as that is the next ski I would like to buy in the future when I have some $$$.

Fucking Desk Job!!! I'm up close to 250.

Fighting weigth was about 230 at 6'2" and at that size I think my 189 Pistols were great in everything but sun backed chopped up powder.

Awesome guys, thanks for the tips. Narrowing it down to Seth's or the Gotama's though I just looked at the Line Prophet 130's and became very aroused.....Anyone tried them?

Wow, it is the fat kid thread.

I am 6'4" 210, and I love my Sanouks. They are crazy soft, but I learned to love this fact. Last season I blew my knee in Dec, and I skied out the season. The Sanouk was just a really casual ski for this....soft and easy on the body. For this reason, I think you will like if you are just getting the new knee going this year.

So, did we all play football here? I did, but was actually a quarterback. In H.S. football I was about 210#, then dropped a little in college, but the beer brought me back up. I've been in the 210~220 range most of my life, except recently when I quit chewing tobacco and gained another 10~15 pounds. My wife just ordered Windsor Pilates for herself but I think I might try that too. I'm glad I quit chewing, though, that's for sure!

Yea played football, hockey and lacrosse in H.S. and D1 Lacrosse in College for 2 years. Used to be able to drop/add 15+ pounds in a few weeks and now I'm realizing I'm better at the adding....
Working in New Yack City at a desk 10+ hrs. a day is not exactly helping either.
I need to win that $360mm powerball so i can buy a heli-ski outfit, work out 2 hours a day and eat expensive healthy food. That's simple right?

Football & Tennis in HS, Rugby in College, all at about 245-250. Dropped to 230 for 3 years in Jackson and immediatly put on 20 now that i'm in chicago. I am sad with myself.

210 in high school football. Df tackle, Of Guard and yes kicker. 14 years of soccer as a kid helped kicking 45 yard plus field goals.
After High School spent 3 years in Alta skiing then walked onto the Collage team as a kicker. Decided within the first week Collage football was to much work for this collage pot head.

CSU Rams? When? Just curious if you knew Aaron Elling then (kicker, Wyoming, few years ago). He was a good friend of mine, but now he's all mister NFL, so I haven't talked to him in a few hears....

Fat kids ski faster. 6'2" and about 230. I really like my new BD's, haven't had lots of time on them yet, but so far so good. I'm not sure what's with all the people saying they are too stiff, hard to ski on,etc. They are super easy to ski, but still very stable. I'd recommend them for sure. I also still love my green soli AK Rockets (200cm), I have so many great days on those skis.
