Lame, lame, lame. I thought it was going to be exciting to watch....I am more excited to see Bob Weir's little swishy nephew than any more of that crap.

it would be cool if they iced that course down and got johnny Q. Weir to tuck it on figure skates.

IMO, if there's no crashes or near crashes, skiercross or boardercross doesn't translate that well on TV. That course got some good technical parts to it.

skiercross should be run down the downhill course. The boarder cross course looked like a joke.

I'd like to take a run down that course. The berms and jumps looked like fun.

If it's the Olympics, why wouldn't the snowboarders get every LITTLE advantage they could by wearing a full spyder race suit?

Sure you'd look pretty gay, but I'd tell the haters to eat it after flashing Olympic gold.

Have to agree. The qualifications w/ 1 boarder running against clock was OK. I can understand the tech aspects of running that course against a clock. Plenty of choices to make re: jumps/bumps/best lines etc.

But putting 4 on the course at 1 time was tooooo X-Games 4 me.
    2 big problems:
    - Race is usually won in the 1st 5 seconds out of the gate.
    - Tumbles... if someone falls and knocks another down that should be a techical foul. The boarder who was knocked down should advance. The rules in speed skating should apply. Judges should look at the fall and collision to determine disqualification and award advancement (or, at least a re-run) to person knocked down.

Agree w/ comment...run the race on the downhill course 1 boarder at a time against the clock!
    Full out speed demons!!!
when not on the snow what else do i do...

i think they need to take the Rollerball format, use snowmobiles and the ice hockey teams on the speed skating rinks.

    That i would watch.

Then is would be a Snowboard downhill, not a boardercross you idiot.

Boarders can petition to have the race rerun if they feel someone took them out. Usually this does not happen.

Sending 4 people down the course at one time is waht makes it boardercross. The XGames did nto come up with this idea.

    Get a clue.
