Eden Utah. How is it? Thinking about buying

Spent a week at Pow Mow last month and loved it. Old school. Thinking about buying a cabin out there. Something I will probably rent for a few yrs before I start using it more regularly.Beautiful place and the place looks like it is about to boom.

Just wondering what people think of the area, the rental market, short term and long term.

    Any other thoughts?

Politics on the chair is a cardinal sin. I would have been thrown off along time ago anyway. With a helmet and some goggles I could fool you all. PLus the Dancing Bears really confuse people.

Thanks for the concern though Woodsy.

IMHO, this place is going to go off, (think, next Park City). Pow Mow also has some major redevelopment plans that as of yet have not passed by the city council on the cache valley side. I would think the rental market there is a bit soft right now because most people seem to be purchasing and there would be cheaper housing 15 to 20 minutes in Ogden. I have some real estate contacts up there I could put you in touch with to get better info. PM me if you like. In short I don't think you would regret a purchae.

I'd think you'd have a hard time going wrong as well. I've heard some of the new plans for Powmow and if they were to come through I'm sure you'd do well. I have definite mixed feelings about the whole development initiative that is more than likely coming for the Ogden resorts. As a skier I hope like hell they never build a hotel or condos at Snowbasin, but if they do...I'll be first in line to buy.

I scouted around while I was out there. i must admit the development I saw was generally poor compared to the natural beauty of the place. Those Moose Holow condos, 4 stories tall? And alot of stucco homes being built. They need some planning, because its gonna get worse. I heard pow mow is about 5-7 yrs out from its makeover. Glad I got to hit it now. I heard the new investor has already bought the land at the base to develop, and the resort is in talks. Around snowbasin alot of land has been sold, 3 acres plots that are all sold out. Not cheap either. I got a lead on a new house in trappers ridge, someone backed out, still thinking about it. I do not think I can go wrong for the price.

That place is a gem. And the skiing was a dream for me. I thought I would hit Snowbasin but never got the chance, after 5 days at pow mow I was still finding freshies.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Just talked to my buddy last night and he was thinking about buying something in Eden.

Perhaps he'd go in with you.

How is it compared to Jersey?

Is there a New York Times article about it?

    You really like to ski?

Real estate crash? Economy crash ? We all will fail. Stock market crash. New world order.

New York Times says we are all gonna be big brothers bitch and hes gonna get all the freshies.

    Now I'm really confused.

Cause your buying real estate in a place that has powder skiing thats why? and the New York Times just said that skiing sucks in Florida.

    Benny where are you?

Enjoy your powder at pow mow.
