    South/North Lake Tahoe weather pattern

I'm possibly looking at pulling the trigger on a flight into Sacto from Burlington from 2/21 - 2/26. But before I do I want to see what you guys are hearing about the weather. Any storms moving in or is the dreaded H parked overhead still?

Also if this happens to work out with the weather, are there any SLT/NLT maggots with some possible couch/floor/crawl space room for a humble and very small maggot on a mission?

dude, it looks like we're about to get puked on this weekend. highs below 30, so it should be great snow for california too.

current weather reports have it snowing through tues or wednesday, right when you're arriving. looks like you'll be in for a treat.

unfortunately i live down in the bay area so can't give you a spot to crash. maybe see you up at KW that weekend though.

weather pattern sounds favorable. To make this work I'll need the help of some generous maggots.

It's gonna be busy then (Tell you something you don't know, eh ? )
Just tried looking for a room in Truckee, cheaper than slopeside at Flatstar. No joy.

Yes the high pressure is finally bailing on the Tahoe area! the springlike corn skiing was nice, but shite, its frigging February! I personally felt the temps drop about 10-15 deg last night during a mtn bike ride. the cold sure moved in fast. I would suspect you would not be dissappointed next week.

Still not sure I'm coming. Prices are going up on flights as I speak and I don't have a place to stay.

Wish I could help you (or Mulletizer, or anyone else) but our condo is totally jam-packed this weekend, with people already on the floor. Odds are good I won't even go myself due to pass blackouts.

    Here's their Special Weather Statement:
    530 AM PST WED FEB 15 2006

...MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES AND LOW SNOW LEVELS FOR NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA THROUGH THE PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND...

THE MILD SPRING LIKE WEATHER EXPERIENCED OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS HAS COME TO AN END. A COUPLE OF COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS DROPPING OUT OF CANADA WILL BRING MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES AND SOME PRECIPITATION OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. TEMPERATURES BEGAN TO COOL ON TUESDAY BUT WILL COOL MUCH MORE TODAY
AS THE FIRST LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DROPS INTO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING A DUSTING OF NEW SNOW TO THE SIERRA TODAY.
BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE THURSDAY AND ON INTO THE WEEKEND AS THE SECOND COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DROPS SOUTHWARD OUT OF CANADA. ALTHOUGH PRECIPITATION WITH THIS SYSTEM IS NOT EXPECTED TO BE HEAVY...MUCH OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SHOULD EXPERIENCE AT LEAST
SOME SHOWER ACTIVITY BETWEEN THURSDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. SNOW LEVELS WILL BE QUITE LOW AS THIS SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY THROUGH THE NORTH STATE. SNOW LEVELS ARE LIKELY TO DROP TO AS LOW AS 1000 FEET FRIDAY AND OVER THE WEEKEND WHICH MEANS SNOWFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE AT THE LOWER ELEVATION FOOTHILLS.

DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE WEEKEND ARE LIKELY TO BE AS
MUCH AS 10 TO 20 DEGREES BELOW WHAT THEY WERE LAST WEEK. OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL BE MUCH COLDER AS WELL...WITH HIGHER MOUNTAIN VALLEYS DROPPING INTO THE TEENS AND SINGLE DIGITS WHILE 20S AND 30S WILL OCCUR IN THE FOOTHILLS AND CENTRAL VALLEY. RESIDENTS SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT ANIMALS AND COLD SENSITIVE PLANTS FROM NEAR AND BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES IN THE VALLEYS AND FOOTHILLS THE NEXT SEVERAL NIGHTS.
At least as of right now, nothing is telling me that it'll be "puking."

<antijinx> I'm sure this will be a bust with nothing much to show for it. Not worth the effort of heading out of the bay area for it... </antijinx>

But seriously, I do hope the potential weather keeps a lot of the sunnyday weekenders folks from showing up. I need to get out and ride, and being locked in a Dilbertesque desk job this is my only chance outta here...

See ya'll at K-D, looking for the soft stuff...

The question is: will my gonorrhea outbreak flare up tomorrow or Friday?
