    Fabulous, fabulous terrain,TR, and pics, Lee!! I'm gonna do my best to make it up there at least a couple times this year to tour the area, maybe even do the whole Spearhead Traverse.

    Do you know the Traskin (Traslin?) brothers? I met them at the first Alpental Randonee Rally. They live in Van and tour a lot in the Coast Range.

    I actually don't. Most of the people I tour with are from Whistler or Squamish. Lots of people heading out on the Spearhead today. Beautiful weather and another gorgeous tour

    yeah I've met at least one of the Traslins, Mike 's an awesome mtn biker and I think Andy was getting a job on Blackcomb patrol last time I saw him at my sis's front lawn in North Van- my brother in law knows them better- ask for Old Fart on NSMB.com Forum
    "if it's called tourist season, why can't we just shoot them?"

    Very nice. That peak behind the skier in the first photo looks $$. Some big vert.

    Sw face of Wedge - first skied by Petersen/Spriceniks. I'd give it a go for spring but not now - very wind-scoured. Constant 35 -40 degree 2000 ft+ shot;

    Cool tour. I see Dynafits and light skis in my near future. Skiing with the hordes in-bounds has lost it's spark. I lapped spanky's most of the day Friday drooling over all the terrain out where you guys were.

    truly shirk - the skiing sucked balls but the views made up for it. It sucked even harder the day after but I'll post up the slab 8's we put up on Decker Main dodging crevasses, cornice fall and avvy debris later on. Looks like a big high pressure sitting over us and then a fat artic system so it'll be a bunch of touring and not much powder for the next week or so.

    Nice, lee. Postman and I went to the elfin lakes hut. Shitty snow but beautiful weather.
    Rbtree- Actually met Mike Traslin last weekend at Keith's hut in cerise creek. Super good guy.

    good seeing you at the top of blackcomb glacier Lee! looks like you guys had some good turns. I had fun making sure my 70 yr old parents got down safely. coming from back east they had severe sensory overload. I did a corona lap today and was treated to golfball size hail as soon as I dropped over the spearhead. good times finding my way along the traverse in pea soup. as soon as I topped the corona bowl, a nice bluebird window opened up. the bowl was super windbuffed chalk. not bad for high speed turns. wind is wipping from the north and temps are dropping!
