Sorry to hear that. At least you have speakers on your helmet.![]()
You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.
Sorry mang.
Consolation- this place is the best morale booster during recovery.
Heal fast.
Fack. Recover well.
not counting days 2016-17
Try to get ACL fixed NOW within 1 day or at least within 14 then they can still glue the stumps together or they can´t fix them as they sort of disapear.Say now roght after tear you got two half ACLs in two weeks you will have 10 % of ACL left at all possible only. SO YOU GOTTA ACT FAST !

Dr Bill (Schillings doctor) says ACL is not salvageable. Also wants MCL and Meniscus to heal with PT prior to surgery for ACL. Surgery in 6 weeks with cadaver parts.

LISTEN TO 0BernhardFranz!!!! If your get there soon enough they may still be able to glue your ACL back together! I wish he was around last season when I tore my acl.![]()
fuck Dr. Bill. I'd say go with Franz and glue it yourself.
Bummer dude.
If you go with the glue method, make sure you use either JB Weld or Quick Dry Epoxy.
Damnit!
Get better quickly.

For those interested... The story of what happened - cross posted from KZone.
Thanks for all the kind words folks. I went to see my PCP today and got my referals for the orthopedic surgeon. Going to Caritas in Boston to see Bill Morgan - the doctor that did Schillings ankle. He's a friend of the family.
Still waiting for MRI confirmation, but so far the diagnosis is:
Grade 3 tear of ACL - complete tear
Possible Grade 1 tear of MCL
Possible Menisus tear
But between the vicodin i got at the Killington Clinic and the percocets I got today, the knee doesnt bother me much. I mean it hurts like hell, but I couldnt care less about the pain.
Most of you probably heard the story of how it happened, but for those who didnt... It happened on the jump at the bottom of The Jug right under where the South Ridge Triple returns on Saturday afternoon around 2 pm. Just a little 2' kicker off to the right with a very flat landing right under the chair. It was the 3rd or 4th time of the day hitting that same jump. Went off slow so I didnt catch too much air and hit the chairs above me. Just threw a little spread eagle after takeoff and didnt quite get my feet all the way back under me on the landing cuz the landing surface was uneven. It pitched from right to left. My right ski hit first and as my weight came down on top of it, it buckled my knee inward. I heard "POP, POP" which was followed by extreme pain, and knew exactly what happened. Pops felt like they came from different spots in the knee.
I tried to ski down but just couldnt do it. My lower leg was basically dangling and every twist send shooting pains up my leg that knocked me to the ground. Had to take the sled ride. It was actually much more comfortable than I expected. The ski patroller Mike requested some Rage Against the Machine, which I didnt have for the speaker helmet, but I appeased him with some Rob Zombie. He must of liked the tunes, cuz he hauled ass to the bottom of Bear.
Ill post updates as i know more.
Oh and K-Lover, thanks for documenting the moment. I was smiling at lot...I must have been delerious.
After seeing the MRI, dr now says grade 2 on MCL.
