I am heading north to W/B this Saturday and will stay for a week.
I’ve been to W/B a few times but can’t say I/m familiar with the mountain. ...nothing like Hood that's for sure! The weather forecast doesn’t look promising so it looks like I will be searching! I remember bowls off Spanky’s seem to stay decent long after the storm. Are there any other favorites (inbound) that you locals want to share?
I usually just find out what the run of the day is and lap that all day long. heh heh
In all seriousness, you'll be hard pressed to find untracked inbounds now, but the best bet is probably taking a hike up to the top of flute.
There is some fun stuff to ski when there isn't powder also though, I always enjoy the snowcross course in blackcombs park when its built up. Honestly not sure if it is now or not though
try traversing out toward Lakeside Bowl/Xhiggy's area off 7th Heaven. Probably all tracked up, but could be nice and soft when the sun heats it up. it's not very long, but stays fresh a bit longer than other places
skier's right of the couloir sometimes accumulates windblown chalk, but the drawback being it can also scrape off and become firm
Sun bowl could yield some soft snow/corn if it's warm & bluebird; Flute as stated above would be another good bet if you don't mind the hike in/out.
