    My Dream BC Vacation

    Is becoming a reality.

I am pulling the trigger on a 8 day trip to B.C. this Spring Break. Hopin' (anti-jinx) that the la nina lasts until april like they're saying at NOAA.

2/3 days at fernie at the Raging Elk
2/3 days in Nelson at Dancing Bear
and 2 days in rossland at Samesun.

Will ski fernie whitewater, red, and maybe a day at valhalla or retallack on standby. Prolly go up to ainsworth for a nightime soak from Nelson.

Anyone spare change for a nickel and possibly show me around the wh20 or red? I'll buy the beers.

    3/25-4/2

    Any advice?

When I was up in Nelson last, 2002 feb, I walked in to check the hoste, db, out. It was really nice, for a hostel. I was skiing with Baldfacein their second season though, and the all inclusive price put me in that hotel on the lake.

Dancing Bear created in me unrealistic expectations for hostels everywhere else. Be warned, it's really nice.

Which other hostel has you considering stealing the lounge furniture for your own house.

Owners and staff are really friendly.

Another sweet hostel is the Movin Sol in Driggs!

I will be bringing all my touring gear. At least enough for a full day of backcountry or the whitewater/red lift assisted kind.

AK, there's a good Hostel in Driggs? I have always wanted to spend a couple days up at targhee, and a few in Jackson.

But am happy to have this trip. It was supposed to be with my girlfriend/fiance. But that went south.

    Yet I'm still headin' north.

I've been dreamin' about this trip since the last time I was in Nelson.

IF you want real untracked, fuck the lift assist, it's a touring zoo around Red & WH2O. Sled assist is wherer it's at.

If you're real nice I'll let you sit on the back of mine.
