So we are going to Lake Tahoe on Thursday through Wednesday.....

.....and it look like its going to Dry, Clear and Sunny.....oh well those days can be enjoyable too.....any tips/mountain recommendations for these warmer conditions?
eg: which areas are more exposed/soften up quicker etc. etc.

Actually, the next storm is supposed to hit Tahoe a week from Friday. So yeah, you must be cursed.

    Thanks for the info
How long usually for those systems to track over to Utah?...I'll be in Utah a week from this Friday (Feb 17th) through the Wednesday (Feb 22nd)

Got any good weather source links?...I noticed weather.com isn't very accurate at all.

I figured something has to be coming?...Hawaii got bombed with huge waves and now Nor Cal is getting some big waves...there has to be something coming?????

    NWS Predictions for Alpine Meadows
Sierra Avalanche Center snow condition report
    Intellicast radar loop
NWS readings in Truckee, Alpine Meadows base, Alpine Meadows summit (Ward Peak)

Other info accessible via links from each, and via other resorts' sites -- these are from my bookmarks that I open in tabs when relevant

i'd say go squaw and alpine as they both have a lot facing the sunrise as far as mountains i'd hit; of which nothstar wouldnt be one.

I doubt it'll be that bad. Had a good time at Squaw on Sunday in similar conditions.
Watch for closed areas being opened by patrol once they warm up. Or just look to see where everybody else is.

Nothing wrong with N-star, btw. Don't listen to the ignorant.
Go exploring on skiers far-left of Lookout, or cruise Backside Trees. It probably won't be open but Sawtooth Ridge is interestingly "scruffy".

Me & mine plan to be at K-wood on Thursday. For what that's worth.
    Enjoy Yaself Nah, y'hear !

Hey, maybe the jinx will make it come sooner!

I was really just tweaking the guy, though. Only Inaccuweather is projecting that snowfall, not NWS or any other outfit. This far out, I wouldn't count on it no matter what.

I think we're in for a dry spell, sadly.
