I will be up there for five days as well. And I am hoping it doesn't snow, cloud up, or get windy. Sorry about the weather for you, but I hope it's high and dry for other plans.

I'll be there as well and I am rather disappointed too that it won't be snowing. Still going to make the best of it though.

Well in your best interest, I hope it's high and dry as well (with nightly dumps of 12-26", of course).

I'm always up for drinks! We have a pretty big group going. You can count on us in the Moose.

Flying out of Green Bay. We're skiing Targhee on Saturday, so we're out for the Moose on that day..... How 'bout Sunday, 12:30, in the Moose for a burger? Lunch rush has cleared out, plus then we'll know each other so we can meet back up for drinks when the lifts close. Wear a Stormy Kromer hat if you have one.

Lot's of Yoopers will be in attendance.... I'm sure you can identify one when you see one....

Are you going to be ice climbing? I've been desperately looking to get some beta on ice routes around Jackson. do you know of any? would I be wasting my time if I bring tools crampons etc?

Jackson isn't really known for water ice, more of an alpine ice scenario. We aren't going with the goal of ice climbing, rather hoping that the 'ice' is buried under enough snow to ski some things.

Just so you know and can plan ahead, strong N-NW winds up high cleared the snow out of a lot of North facing stuff in the last few days. I spoke with someone who skied Central yesterday and they said that it was all blue ice, "very scary" was the description. "The best part was the air out."

South facing stuff is real nice right now, but the sun will change that in a hurry.

yeah, I know that water ice is lacking in th area. But I wanted to teach a friend who's been kind enough to put me up for a couple weeks some tricks on top rope. Oh well, skiing eveyday it is then (and a lighter load to be hauling out on the plane).

That sucks, the thing I was most looking forward to was Central, hope things change.

Good luck on the Grand, Trackhead!
Some buddies of mine skied it about 10 days ago.

I'm thinking I might make another descent this spring.

Looks like you've got your weather hole. Will be rooting for ya!
