    So bummed to miss it this year. I'm back east and flying back tonight. Kush and AKA - I'll call you guys in a bit. You have a place to stay tonight if you need it.

    Best place to watch is on the cliff. As you hike out along the water you'll hit a cliff that you have to hike up (wear good shoes - it's actually slightly sketch). It's usually packed, but hopefully you can find a good spot.

    Alternatively, I've also watched it from the bluffs. Instead of hiking along the water, go to the right and go up the bluffs and watch from there. Also a pretty good vantage point.

    MOST IMPORTANTLY: BRING BINOCS OR A ZOOM LENS. Mavs is off shore and you can barely see squat without the above. Or maybe I'm just old and my eyes are bad .

    Ok, got the scoop on the dead link......Live feed will begin again at 1:30pst on the same link (I think) ...otherwise, go to http://www.ktvu.com/index.html and click on the webcam link from there. There should be highlights from this morning's sessions starting at noon (now) until they start the live feed again @ 1:30....Enjoy!

    today was SICK!!!!!!!!!!!

    after the comp we saw this chick and dude paddle out, the chick almost road the entire way in to the beach.........fucking sick.....

    I asked her marrrie mee but she didntf answer

    Missed it too.

    No, I wasn't the guy plucked by heli from below the Cliff House.

    Waves were so big, I could see 'um all the way from the top of Chair 4!

    Would have liked to watch Baker and the rest, looks like really good surf and light. Killer photo of Baker, Mavericks was breaking really well, glad the contest got it. I gather this swell has similar origins as the one in mid November.
