    Yes. It's because I'm here.

But dont worry -- I'm leaving tonight. So a storm should move through CO starting tonight, and Tahoe will simultaneously dry up!

I've got a 10:30 am flight tomorrow morning for Denver, please hold true! Plans thus far are to hit Vail on the 4th and breck on the 5th and 6th. Opinions, good or bad? Where would you guys go given the conditions thus far?

general, I would pass on vail for sunday and wait till monday and you will have 1/3 less the crowds, unless we get dumped on satruday night. Vail has the most open. A-basin is still hurtiing for snow. Unless you have the option for more than one vail day, then do vail sunday and monday.

imo, i would not go to breck at all. i would just stay around vail and beav, maybe copper.
I was amazed at how light and fluffy the powdery snow was and at how the challenge never ended.

I would recommend against going to A-basin even if they get snow, they have virtually no terrain open yet. Winter Park might be worth checking out, I hear it's skiing pretty well.

blurred...out of curiosity i just read the your slopenazi thread.

Im assuming you got your cash back from the mountain but I wanted to know if they did anything for you besides that.

Ive had run ins with their douchebag patrollers myself. Something stinks in their attitude towards their customers to say the least.

I think that could be more frustrating than anything, wow I wish I could ski that but it's closed, look at that!! too bad it's closed, so forth and so on. IMO A-basin needs quite a bit more snow to ski well, but when it does it's like a little slice of heaven on earth.

From their site (I know, the WP predictions are worth about as much as a share of Enron, but at least the cam looks promising):

    Today
    Potential Snowfall: 4 to 8" (10 to 20 cm)

    Tonight
    Potential Snowfall: 4 to 8" (10 to 20 cm)

Cross yer fingers...I'll be on Pony or Iron Horse...maroon helmet w/MJ and Alta stickers, beat up yellow xscreams.
