Dude your dissin on a rock institution. Sure the Janet Jackson, Whacksteet Boy wardrobe malfunction was slightly more entertaining. Actually I didn't catch the performance so it may have sucked. But albums like Exile on Main St., Sticky Fingers even Some Girls are classics.
The fact that Mr. Richards has partied as hard as any rockstar and is still around gettin paid big $$$ to perfom at one of the greatest sporting events says a lot.
Maybe next year They will get some talent you can relate to Britney and Bono maybe??
You pounding down the wobbly pops or going to the AKPM school of spelling??

They won't even have to mummify Richards for the hall of rock & roll.

I feel sad for someone who wouldn't know rock n roll if it walked up behind him and kicked him in the ass. It's good to see you can handle the alcohol like a real trooper though. Such a big boy at 30.

I have respect for the Rolling Stones as a Rock and Roll institution, but I too felt the half time show was pretty weak. I have never seen a live Rolling Stones show, but if thats the quality and energy that they usually put out, I'm amazed that people still bother going.

Daywalker, perfectly said. Their music is great and was great- but not when they do it now. That was one of the worst halftime shows I've ever seen.

Agreed, they came off as really tired and played. However, they still appeal to the masses, so whatever.

Man I've been a Stones fan since my sister got me listening to them when I was 4 years old. But that was just friggen lame. Frankly I would rather have the normal halftime analysis that goes on during the regular season.

No it's not a standard Stones show. But it shows you what all that huge ass sound equipment can do to make them sound better. Or maybe they lipsync the entire thing now on their concerts.

I know that the SuperBowl show has to be live now since Shinya Twains deal a few years ago.

In defense of the Stones, there probably aren't many bands in the world who can put on a great Stadium show in 9 minutes.

No band is good when they are relegated to "Sideshow Bob" status.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

I have seen the stones, albiet it was over 30 years ago and they were just f*ing amazing! Incredible. I am not sure why they agreed to do the half time show. It was weak. Next step they will be on the casino tour and then doing county fairs. Sad.

It'[s hard not to love the Stones, but.........

They need to shoot more dope.
    They've lost their edge.

I would have rather seen Prince rock the fuckin house. Did anyone see him on SNL last night? That dude absolutely shreds the axe, and is the most solid performer I have ever seen. Yeah, that's right. PRINCE.

The Rolling Stones are tired. They haven't gained any weight though, so that puts them ahead of David Gilmour at least.

    Key words now highlighted.

Every song they played tonight you heard back then. They needed to retire 20 years ago. I'm pretty sure Keith Richards did, and they just cart him around now for visual effect. Who exactly was that black guy taking a bow after the show -- the choreographer ..... or the session guitarist playing Keith's parts?

I was just waiting for Keith to drop dead in the middle of the show (not that the NFL would have actually showed that). Somehow, for me, that just seemed to be a fitting end to the Stones.

Regardless, I have a feeling there's some dude backstage at every Stones show, just standing around with a guitar waiting to hear, "Keith's down....go, go, go!!!"

The Stones have written some of rocks best albums, but I haven't really liked an album since Tatoo You.The sound wasn't very good,& neither were a few of the performances.
