Ah, yes, magical, magical Stowe. Yes, a beautiful place nestled in the Vermont hills that will have 12 -16 tomorrow morning, and yet, and yet, all of us whiney bitches will be home, browbeaten by a our shrew wives, bored by our pathetic little lives, huddled around our TVs, watching giant men play a violent game, drinking and eating too much, numb to the advertising blitz, dreaming of.....Stowe.

dude, you even sound like a skidmore kid...

the world is full of hurt. go ski some ice and like it. it's your fault and no one else's for where you live. one of the best days i can remember is skiing with my #1 homey, pk (calling out a lurker) on a bulletproof day at whiteface where they got rain and it immedately froze to like 10 degrees. i know there's goods to be had at gore - there always is. i know the gore boys are out there smilin' and havin' fun, no matter what. you represent the ec poorly.

well, actually, it isn't. I've been tied to a bedpost in this town for a few years with access only to a laptop and bedpan, tended to by two buxom dancers that go by the name of Snazzy and Wiggles. help me.

How come you're not out slaying it right now?

I think I made you proud; skiing in sleet and rain on friday. It was so awesome.

At least the lift lines were short.

What the fuck am I talking about? I'm talking about a layer of porcelin that has been covering over areas that usually melt out fast. Yes it is again pissing rain, but by this point I don't give a shit as long as the weather geeks are right and the snow is coming. In northern VT the hills are holding on and with a good couple of feet we will be slaying once again. Take a look at some of the pics posted within the last week, and remember more than once we have gone from riding dusty sniggle to surfing knee deep...overnight. Just for questioning me I'm not going to tell you where the snow falls in the east.

I'm starting a new company. It's called the New England Umbrella Company. All of our umbrellas are built with our patterned sturdy and strong design that has been rigorously tested during the rainy season of Jan '06.

Colors come in dark brown, light brown and mixed leaves to match the ground cover.

Dside, is that a picture of brad pitt as your avatar? you're calling me a fag?

Dude, I'm just sick of college kids who live next door to the mountain, and who's parents pay for their lift tickets telling everyone to go enjoy the bulletproof. Hey asshole, I am more than willing to sacrifice my financial well being to ski the entire winter, but I'm not a fan of some UVM kid telling me when and how to ski, or telliong everyone on the east coast to stop complaining. Especially when that kid is from NW denver.

Wow. EC anger is reaching an all-time high.

As a trained Psychotherapist who studied in Vienna for 46 years before leading the Austrian ski team to dominance, I recommend a lot of sex to compensate for a lack of snow.

Apparently some types of whale excrement, particularly ambergris, which is expelled from the abdomen of the Giant Sperm Whale, can bring in a pretty penny, as was the case for an Australian couple who made US$295,000 after finding some ambergris on an Australian beach. The couple was not aware of their finding, and regarded it as a strange lump, but they did have a suspicion that it was something special, which made it worthy of picking up. After bringing the strange lump to a local marine ecologist, Ken Jury, he immediately determined that it was ambergris. The excrement is used in perfumes, but it takes ten years of floating in the ocean before it comes to smell sweetly. It is considered extremely rare- some call it the floating gold of the ocean- hence the large sum of money the couple received.

I'm taking this from the suicide or a plane ticket thread because I don't want that one to get cunted up and this one already i.

I'm agreeing with DSide on this one.
Massliberal, your head is in your ass because you're only reasoning for being on his case is that he's from Denver. Who Gives a shit? Looking at D-sides profile, He's a bit too old for college and occupations don't include student. Seeing as though he's skied whiteface and others, its not like he doesn't know what he's talking about.

WHERE"S YOUR POINT NOW OLD MAN?

I've lived 23years in NewHampshire and Central NY.So I know low snow years suck. Over the summer I decided that I'm going west... and well I did. Stowe's got 7-9" in the past week (same as we've gotten in Bozeman). So it looks like a viable alternative. Less whining and more skiing.

My parents do not pay for any of my tickets or equipment, hard work and sacrifice took care of that for me.
Why don't you take it to epic and strap on some metrons ya JONG

Mr. massLIBERAL. Why don't you go join some activism parade or bitch about Bush.

Whatever dude. I'm just sick of west coasters making judgement calls from across the country. Sure, the early season this year rocked, and stowe got seven inches last week, which was promptly rained on Friday and Saturday. In fact, i think it has rained almost every friday this january, promptly followed by a deep freeze. But I'm sure the Stowe Website is advertising that.
I do apologize for not checking his profile and making assumptions, which is pretty jongish.

And if you take offense to my screen name, fine, that's your right. Just know that I never complain about Bush being President, I'm more concerned with finding solutions to the problems facing our nation than bitching about them (yes, even though I'm sitting around bitching about the weather in an internet forum, but that's what east coasters do, we bitch about the weather and the red sox, I know it seems pathetic to you on the outside, but its all we got, especially during a year which it has rained every fucking weekend)

    happy skiing

Just here to say there's still plenty of snow at the K...i ran into mtnman, rustyk, and phantom upon leaving and those boys were still hitting the woods. I would have to let them describe what that's like...all i remember rusty saying is that there just weren't enough people going in....
