looking for a room in SLC

Well the time has finally come. For over four years now I have experienced life in various ski towns through the people on this board. Ever since the beginning, when change for a nickel meant 5 pennies, I was planning my escape from this Midwestern prison to the powder-filled mountains of the west. I used this place as my substitute for TV; just watching without giving anything back. That is about to change. I received my mechanical engineering degree a little over a week ago, and I will be packing up my Cherokee for the long drive west in the morning. I have to run my ski club’s trip in Aspen next week, and then it is off to Snowbird and Alta for the remainder of the season. It was a tough decision, but you utards convinced me over the years that it is the place to be.

There is only one little problem.

I have yet to secure a place to crash for the season. I am not looking for much, but I will definitely pay rent for whatever I can find. So if you know of anyone in the vicinity of LCC that has an extra room/couch/floor/whatever that they would like to rent out for a couple months, shoot me an email at khsmith at purdue dot edu.

It feels kinda weird asking total strangers for help, but I feel like I already know a lot of people on here…it’s just that none of you know me. I hope to change that this season. See you out there.

There is plenty of housing in SLC. Look online for classifieds and apartment listings. I don't know anyone offhand, but I'm sure you can find something reasonable.
