Reported on Lou's site - looks like the new BC standard. I am sure someone already reported on this months ago but here it is again...

Just looks like a heavier Comfort. Still doesn't look like a binding you'd want to huck in. (But I love my Dynafits for their lightweight and great boot/binding connection.)
Read about the new Fritschi "Freeride Plus" in the latest Couloir: A little burlier, a little more improvement in the reduction of "insta-tele" for hucks. Maybe done to compete with the NX21?
x2. The redesigned onepiece heel lifter looks cool - wonder if it fixs the problems people had with the Comfort volcano (and if it'll make it to the comfort)Originally Posted by upallnight

No doubt "carbon style" graphics will increase the price further.![]()

I couldn't find this on the web, anything out there about em?
[QUOTE=yesIsaidyes]The blurb in the print mag was pretty short - will look it up later and post (going skiing now)...Originally Posted by upallnight
Basically, it amounted to a beefier rail & some improvement to the touring heel adapter.
More to come.
Here's the relevant quote from the latest Couloir Magazine:
"Available in fall 2006 for $425, the new Freeride Plus offers some major performance upgrades. A new bar end uses and integrated spring system to dampen the ski/binding interface during flexion and prevents any release ito "Insta-Tele" mode while skiing. The redesigned heel block gets a fourth screw for extra staying power, but it's the grooved channels of the riser that hold the most promise, locking the binding in place in ski mode and improving torsional rigidity."
No comment on the weight of the new model.
