    Ski instructors in USA

Does anyone know how to get work as a ski instructor in the USA - specifically Jackson hole, with Canandian CSIA qualifications?
AM planning to go to Whistler to complete level 3 international qualification then wouldn't mind pooping down to Jackson hole to try beating the recent 245ft cliff jump record. hmmmmmm yeah right!!

    Interesting turn of a phrase.
I think you could probably just call the ski school and ask for the director and set up an interview, like any other job. I went through the apprentice instructor training at JH in the early '90s. Good place to "work."

Send in an application. This year they hired anyone with a pulse. With certification you probably wouldn't have to go through the hiring clinic in December.

Maybe get a job at a Canadian Hill and see if they'll do an instructor-exchange?

People without Visas usually end up working in the kitchen.
    Sad but true.

If you come here in December, they'll throw a coat on anyone to handle the holiday season -- anything to handle the overflow of people seeking lessons at that time.

    Seriously.

Parking lot attendant in the morning? You too can instruct in the afternoon (during that period).

I'd hate to be one of those paying customers at that point.

Have you spoke to their HR dept? I work in CO during the winter, am also a Brit, and they set everything up for you. Probably too late for this season, but they could help you out for next.....

So what do you reckon to the idea of pitching up in whistler doing my level 3 instructors, and either steaming across to Fernie for the tail end of the season, when ppl start to scarper. Or heading down to CO for some US action?
No Visa, but plenty of skill! Surely there is a way round it.
I can do a double daffy!
