Noice TR and pics!!! Sux you got nabbed though. If you can ski it well, no need for the pull, only a tongue lashing. At least that's what happened to me so far. Hope to meet up with you guys in March.

I'm back home after a truly epic day Monday. I have to do my business quarterly taxes today...always wait till the last minute it seems, so it'll be a bit before I post the latest round of pics, some of which are pretty danged good, considering the near worthless camera..and nut behind it......

Nice pic o the day, pow11.....too bad I flubbed the rock drop you did. But the video of Christian airing it is tits, and the smaller one you and Richard did is excellent.

Well, i guess my story and pics let the cat out of the bag...but I doubt if it'll make anything worse for you guys. Regardless, if I angered any of ya's by posting it, I'se sorry. Anyhow, with all this monster snow blanketing the West, people have been dying in avalanches and tree wells all over the place. So it is understandable that patrols from Whistler to Baker to Alpental are cracking down.

Thanks, Lee. hope to ski/tour with you sometime!!

Here's pics from yesterday, which was simply fantabulous. We arrived at 7:15 am, for FreshTracks, but there was a huge mob already in line. bagged that idea, caught some breaky, and headed up Blackcomb instead. first run down Solar Coaster was pretty sick, mainly constant face shots. Next, we shredded Jersey Cream several runs, then headed for Fraggle Rock. Pow11 went off to shoot pics with a local, which left Richard and I to explore the Overbite trees, which did not fail to deliver the goods. "Some Like Em Tight" We met Christian, another young hard charger and skiied under the cliff band on the Overbite area and shot a vid of the Mullet. Unfortunately large masses of Richard's ptex were deposited on some lurkin rocks. Ran into Toby again and hit up Fraggle Rock for more hucking action. Then we got in the Glacier line which opened shortly thereafter. Had more fun, including heading over to a gnar line just right of Cougar..the name keeps escaping my feeble grey matter.... Meanwhile a crowd was forming at Spanky's....just as we were traversing near it, with plans for another run, the gate dropped...talk about timing, eh?! We headed for Ruby Bowl. Christian, Toby and Richard blazed down the middle, having a blast but in avy debris. I traversed far left into untouched virgin deep smoke and caressed its orgasmic sweetness in a run for the ages! Alas, no pics!!
Later, Christian led me gingerly down Chainsaw Ridge in near whiteout wind, making sure to stay clear of the abyss. We dropped into Boxcar, if that what's it called, and found some more nearly untouched goodness. Finished off with some 7th Heaven chairline trees...boy, skiing with you young rippers makes the old bones creak....

Yep, Atrain, I can relate..and feel like chit for youse guys. especially since I selfishly just had to shoot pics......which took some time. But I had met Brian just before that run, and felt that he was a very down to earth and approachable fella. When you go in to see him, tell him of your bc experience, relate the Baker story and offer to do any form of penance needed to get back on the hill sooner. Good luck.

Here's a link to most all of the pics, including some of Tim on Hannuka that are adequate. I caught Sam just as he landed-only shot I got of him, which looks like a good 80 linear feet below the takeoff!!

If its Brian Finestone that you're talking about then do yourself a favour and apologize in person and maybe write a letter and really really mean it. He's a very reasonable guy but don't blame him if his hands are tied.

btw - whistler is now cracking down on smoking bud in the liftlines. Your pass will get pulled for that too
