I wish I could go with you guys on Wednesday, but I've got training. Got my new Explosivs remounted with freerides though and centered. Freaking amazing ride now. So perfect. White room high speed turns on chalky powder were rock solid. Reminded me of Chevy Chase saying be the ball. I trust them so well now that I can ski upper OTR in three turns, they're just rocket ships. I guess it helps to ski with friends that are beyond fast - Loveland crowd always blows my mind.

Here's one firm vote for freeride bindings all the time. Fourth season on them and they've never let me down.

This past week I've been obsessed with a new playground - the mine dumps. What a sh!tload of snow there, even before this round. Loveland's got some very cute new patrollers too. As I left the gate yesterday one of them stopped me to ask if I had backcountry gear and it turned into an awesome conversation about the snowpack. Little did he know that I had my level two course right there.

BZ - there'll always be powder. People come first. You done good. But! Can she ski?

Thanks SheRa. She loves to ski, but unfortunately is a gaper. Her pole touches are improving though.

Oh, forgot to say - about the ridge: They've been blasting and got terrain open on the superbowl side. Got patrol bowl down to headwall done yesterday too. It's good. Patrol bowl surface snow moved, but nothing on the other side. Freaking nice snowpack this year.

And the other morning I saw patrollers working up in the notches at A Basin.

Oh no, not at all. I am in no way a ski instructor, and just don't have the patience. I just gave her a few tips. Your a teacher though, want to give her lessons?

I prefer first hand accounts from people as opposed to machines that are often times pretty random
