found an old school picture of it...its the biggest one skiers right side of the main cliff band..

I didn't drop it cause it was blowing snow sideways with like 60mph gusts and you couldnt see further than 5 feet most of the day.....

want to go back when its bluebird and check the landing out close up first....I had no idea what was in the LZ

gaffney's = furthest skiers right (15 to 35 as double stager or 50+ft single stage)

iron cross = furthest skiers left (about 25-40ft depending on line)

as far as i know - don't know the other rocks though

    That's a cool pic.

That little coffee shop in Empire has cool vintage posters of the original Berthoud Pass ski area.
    More gauze pads, please hurry!

well the one I am talking about does not apprear to be possible as a double stager...when looking over the edge there is very little as far as platforms or shelfs between the top and the bottom....

then again, I could barely see what I was looking at

Wish I could say the same for myself, today. It wasn't sucky, but the wind had affected everything...hardly blower. Part of it may have been where I went...I probably made the wrong decision... Though, I guess when you do almost everything in life perfectly, you're bound to have a mis-read here and there...

That's where I think I should have gone today. Patrol was still figuring out what they were going to be able to open at 9:30, and it didn't sound super promising...low vis, high winds they said, so I went elsewhere...but by later in the day, I think the weather improved, and I'm thinking it was good...
