    Write complement to Ignore

So if putting someone on your ignore list is possible in the context of reading someone else's posts, would it be possible, reasonable or prudent to limit who can read one's own posts?

    A block facility?

    Just wondering about the algebra.

How would it be possible when you don't even have to register to read, just to post??

Unless you force people to register to read the board, I guess.

Not sure about the permissions setup in vBulletin, but you can do that in phpBB. You basically set the read permissions of a particular forum to a certain group. Only that group can read/write/whatever in that forum. However, it requires admin priviledges to set it up and I doubt ONS is gonna go the extra mile just so you can make some private posts.

yep, that would be the loophole. all someone would have to do is sign out to see your posts. which would go along with not being reasonable.

On another board I used to frequent that had 'Invisible Ink' that only people on your buddy list could read. It was enclosed in a tag like we have bold, url, etc.

Do you realize that you've just posted an admission of ignorance so breathtaking that it disqualifies you from commenting on any political or economic threads from here on out?
