    Question for photo guys

For Splat or MBS or anybody else who knows. What kind of slide film would you recomend using for shooting ski pics? Brand names? Whatever I need to know. Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Fuji - Velvia 50, Provia 100F, Kodak E100. There's some b&w slide film out now that you could play with if you want to try something for effect. Don't even know who's making it.

well here is few i can recommend recommendable:

    fuji velvia 50 : sharp,crisp,lucious.

kodak ectachrome EPP 100 : quite sharp, a bit older film with wonderfull, neutral colorbalace.

kodak ectachrome EPN 100 : as above, a tad sharper and a bit more vivid colours.

kodak ectachrome EPL 400x : THE film for lowligh photography. Can be pushprocessed 2-3 stops, Very contrasty, can be crossprocessed with exelent results, good for tungsten based lighting (indoors).film has a light greenish hue, so some people dont like it. very expensive.

films that i use if i find them in my pocket.

    fuji sensia 100 & 400
    fuji provia 100 & 400.
: not that good films. dont like the tonal range or colors.

    well, thats my choices...

Check out the very helpful (and verbose) reply to my questions about a 35mm camera. Film mentioned in there a few times...

I don't know a whole lot about it but....

I did work part time in the camera store in Tahoe City for a year or so. We had several known ski/snowboard photographers brought their stuff in to us for development. Rich Van Every, Dave Norehad, Aaron Sedway, Chaco Moeller and a few others whose names I can't recall. They all used Fuji.

Thanks for the quick responses. I needed film in a hurry. Oh, and by the way, I've been posting in this forum since it began under various names, but I'm in Europe and I can't remeber any of my old passwords, so I just went back to my old powdermag name.
