If the Costco meetup is the order of the day, that's certainly do-able for me. If you guys would prefer to meet on the mountain or whatever that's fine too.

I've only been to Xstal once a long time ago, so I don't really remember much of anything.

I'm down for tomorrow. Went stairclimbing at the park with my dog today to get the heart beating and lungs working again, still feeling a bit weak so probably won't be up for a full day of schralping but at least i'm not snorkeling thick green snot any more. I'll be pulling into the parking lot about 8 and in line at the lift by 8:30.

I have a radio now too. Is the maggot channel 5-13?

    ptavv,

What time will you be arriving? I'm easy to spot, look for the fool in the old gray jacket, Mojo 90 skis (one red, one blue) and floppy brown felt aussie-style cowboy hat - if I remember it! Otherwise it'll be a gray camo beanie.

Basically just hung out on chair six, which kept going in and out of blizzard conditions all day.

I don't know. I'm actually having second thoughts about it. I just realized I have a paper that's unwritten but due on Monday afternoon (I skipped class Friday and just found out about the assignment).

So I may have to bail completely... sorry guys, another storm.

Ptavv I seriously think you should reconsider. Tomorrow promises more of the same.

Most likely they will open South Back and we can ski Silver Basin. Or we can go North... so much goodness so little time.

I'm moving. I hate moving. Aggregation, sorting, boxing, lifting, setting, loading, unloading. Plus a bonfire to burn the requisite blackberries and slash. I choked out the valley with smoke and lifted my thoughts up to y00se k00ks, where I knew it'd be g0000000d.
Passing through clothes, I came upon a Raging Maggots t-shirt from 1988. They were a l00ny band, I'll post a pict. But all the little touchstone stuff that you pass through in the course of all that. blablahblah...
I don't think I can do tomorrow either, too much to do, especially if I can pull off a Tuesday or Wednesday instead.
bomber called and honked me about today. It sounded really freaking awesome. A facefull. w00t acheived.

Oh god, am I fucked up.

Yep Northbakistan opened, and I was there when the rope was dropped. Had 2 epic runs of face shots, only tempered by the suck that was I-5 (there were conflicting signs about the status of the NB shuttle bus, and I don't think walking all the way back up that road in ski boots is my idea of a good time). Campbell Basin was pretty fuckin good as well, only damper for me was that I'm just exhausted from yesterday...

anyway, as I've said, what would T Cartwright do? Ski and love every possible minute of it. So I dragged my tired carcass out of bed this morning, and got myself eastbound on 512 again...

A few members of the Monique community are probably pretty tired of my whining about being stuck in the tropics while all this is going on. That said: WAAAAAAAA!!!!

Whew! Got that out of my system for another ten minutes. Those of you lucky enough to be within reach, GO!
