if we keep these days short and sweet, I could go both days - I just need time to pack and study. Loadmastering is hard!

If it were a weekday I'd say there'd definitely be windhold - to screw the pass holders, and the fact there's less people there so it affects fewer people (plus there's less people on the chairs so maybe they sway more?). However, it being a weekend...all week they've been saying on the snow report that it was gonna puuuuuuke this weekend, be sure to be there...

we could call it from the 5am report, the problem with that is they don't always give you the full info then.

Plus there's the WWTCD? factor - What Would T Cartwright Do? I think he'd ski, no matter what

I think for me its looking more and more like both days. Heck even if tomorrow gets wind hold the amount of snow could make it quite entertaining. Fubar- if the lady allows I would enjoy skiing with you again on sunday - and now I have a helmet so LOOK OUT!

Be careful about parking at Costco. I parked at the one in Federal Way on my way to Crystal a couple weeks ago and when I got back there was a note on my car saying cars left there would be towed. Don't know if it's an idle threat, but I won't part there again.

well it isn't my car that would be towed.....

cliff - Costco at 6:15. Gabe will be there as well. We are thinking of trying to leave early, like 1ish.

Or we could just park them at the Tacoma mall

Steve - we're planning on sunday as well.

You guys knock yourselves out this weekend. I'm soooo jealous. Some kind of bug laid me low on Monday and I'm just now feeling better. Been the walking dead all week - fever, chills, massive head congestion, yadda yadda yadda. I'm feeling weak as a babe right now so doubt I'll be in shape to hit the slopes tomorrow. Maybe Sunday though...

I'm pretty sure tomorrow is going to be really windy and on Sunday, it's going to be way too crowded. Who needs either of those things?

I PM'd nutcase and it seems to be a tentative plan. Fill me in if you guys are interested in learning how we rip it down in Oregon.

I see on Xtal's website they got about 15" in two hours between 2am and 4am. That and the winds aren't bad. Damn, I hope there's some left tomorrow!

    yeeeeeeeeeearrrrggg. Not too bad!!!

Xtal magnions, stick to north-facing stuff, it's goooooooooood. South and West facing stuff not so much, crunchy crust layer underneath that can be fairly jarring and inconsistent.

Did Alpental even open today? I heard something about avalanche closures of I-90, meaning patrol couldn't even get up to do AC work. That true?

What's the word on a Xstal meetup tomorrow?

    Location/time/etc?

I'd be down to drive up from PDX for it...

Well, we could do what was done this morning - rally at the Tacoma CostCo (it's right off of I-5) @ 0615. Only thing to consider is that iggyskier and I are pretty beat from today; hopefully we'll be able to hang with the skiing dynamo that is FUBAR, but I don't know how long I'll last...so I may hang it up early, like 1pm. Might be better for you to meet up with Nutcase and ride with him, or drive up to the mtn yourself...I'm sure Buster, Fubar, and ChainsawWillie will still be down for skiing later through the day.

that said, a meet on the mountain at a certain chair/time (preferably early, not "10am at this lift!!!"), rally by radio, phone, etc. I don't care which.

Fuck it, I'm going to go have a beer. Or two. Or three...

ptavv, get your ass to mahs! get up here!
