Finger is on the trigger for a friday night flight. Any couches / canyon transports available this weekend to hit LCC or SB...I'm not picky! Arrive fri 10ish leave sun 8ish and don't want to rent a car. Frozen offered up but won't be riding and has a load of reality to tackle so I don't want to get in his way...hit me back ASAP.

Right now in Alta, it is still snowing, SW winds are light on the ridge-tops and it’s 22 degrees at the Wildcat Base.

Today’s weather forecast calls for 3-7” of new snow with light to moderate and occasionally, gusty ridge-top winds and high temperature in the mid 20’s. Tonight, another 1-3” are possible with light winds and low temperature near 15 degrees. [anti-jinx]The extended forecast calls for snow and snow flurries through the week with heavy snow likely on Friday and Friday night.[/anti-jinx]

i may be rolling into town as well but feel pretty sheepish asking for accomodations considering i have never met any of ya.

i may just motel it or peruvian if they got a bed. any advice?

Stay tuned...something is bound to come together. I'm thinking I'm going to just book the flight and a car and wing it from there. Peruvian is in "Holiday Rate" mode so it's outta my league given the big $$$ plane tic.

I live 2.5 hours north of Alta on clear roads. You can stay with me if you want to drive 5-6 hours each day to and from the mountain.

Any post by britney mentioning a bed and a ride gets my attention pronto.
Truth, if you are staying to ski on Monday I'll be back up in Ogden (about 25 minutes from Basin/PowMow) on Sunday night. You'd be more than welcome to crash there on Sunday [cue Elvis] "In the ghettooooooo" [cue Elvis]

Also, the Marriot in town is about 65-bucks anight and the Ogden Plaza (was a Crowne Plaza) till last spring is a cool retro, refurbished pad for around 50-60 a night.

Dood, coordiante with Hev on the car. He drives Euro Power so you'll get along just fine.

If I didn't have outta town buddies coming I'd be right with you clowns. Oh well, I guess NYE will involve boozing and talking about powder skiing as opposed to powder skiing.

GT40...you gonna be on the hill? I'll be leaving Sunday night Lumpy so I guess we'll miss each other, but thanks for the hotel info...I'll be calling to confirm room rates.

Little weather update...since 1:30AM there has been 18 inches in Eden and still nuking. I drove up from Draper (just south of SLC) this AM and there was nothing happening in SLC and a bit north of the city. This last round is absolutely killing it from Bountifull north. PowMow road is closed this AM, Basin must be insane today with working on 2-feet on the Ogden Valley Floor. Waiting for the flykdog, MOE, GT, MD9 report on this one....DAMN WORK!!!

Anyhow, it nuking in Ogden and hasn't stopped since last night. Roads are a mess and its deep...scooba dooba in the AM.

On 25th street, there is Roosters Brew Pub. Great food and great beer. Decent price. I would strongly recommend checking it out for dinner and drinks.

Flight is booked!!!!!!!! I'll be in SLC one way or another from Friday at 10 until Sun at 8. Have wheels...Jeep Grand Chimpokee or similar.
