Help mounting Tyrolia FF bindings on a Head carving plate
Hi,
I just received the FF 17 bindings for my XRC 1200 skis, which come with a carving plate. As usual the box contains a lame manual that doesn't say anything about mounting and sends you to a tech. I need to have the bindings on this afternoon, and have the following questions:
- Is there a Tyrolia bindings shop manual online somewhere, like there is one for Salomon?
- The toe pieces have some yellow foam packed under. Is this really part of the binding? Sounds weird. Should it be removed?
- I am assuming that I want to set the rail connecting the binding in the hole bracketing my boot sole length (i.e. if my boots are 304 mm, in the hole that is labeled 30-31 or something like that)?
- Is there a torque value for the screws? Should I just screw them as they are, or coat them with anything (they go in a plate).
- Do I need a pozi screwdriver or can I get away with something else? I'll probably try to get a posi (#3?) at Home Depot to spare the screw heads.
- Finally, what is the way to check proper forward pressure on the Tyrolias?
