A great day, an awesome line.

Been skiing a certain backcountry area this Winter, and have been wanting to do a certain line for a few weeks now. I've been looking at the line from the bottom for the past week or two... When I first saw the line, I wasn't even sure if it was doable. The more I looked at it and showed it to a few others, the more we decided that the line was in fact definitely possible. A few days ago Z and I planned hitting it today, and I awoke to the early morning phone call from him. I got my shit and ran out the door.

Sorry, no pics of us skiing it, but I took this pic after we had hit it. Z dropped into his line, only realising how sketch it really was mid-flight. Hopefully he'll comment on it. He then proceeded to rip the rest of it. I then skied my line as he watched from the bottom. The picture doesn't really give it justice, but it is good stuff. Z had the yellow line, and my line is in red.

Today was amazing. I haven't felt so good after skiing a line in a very long time. Thanks for getting after it today Z.
It was a beautiful day. We'll be hitting it again from the top soon.

Good stuff Z and Blurred. Looks like a bunch of fun. Some nice pillows in there. Now you need to step up to the Fish Creek line....

You should dig up that FC pic and throw it up in this thread to compare the lines. I say the FC line is only about twice as sick.

Heh. Way fun. I was buzzin on the ride home.

As for the line, I knew exactly what i was getting into when i aired into it. Confident at the top, and that i could stomp it. I told brett at the bottom, but when i actually was in the air and saw exactly what was below me, all I could think was "holy shit Z you NEED to stomp this." Defintely gripped at that point. So much fun. This is what I live for.

Awesome B, that area will be seeing our ugly mugs a bunch more.

And as for the steamboat line, I agree with Marshal. "Oops, I crapped my pants"

Blurred--Oldtimer skied the same exact line 9 years ago in the flick "breathe". That's a fun zone. Just wish it got more snow so there would be more potential there. Good job.
