    Westport, WA Pics

Rare sunny offshore day in WA. Mt. Olympus and Mt. Rainier could be seen from the break. Not many surf spots where you can scope ski lines in between sets.

Damn that's nice. Why isn't there anyone out in the first few pics? Haven't surfed Westport in a couple of years. Have to head down again soon...

Tuesday morning in January. Plus 90% of surfer's in WA (including myself) don't know what to do with waves like this.

That looks amazing, esp. when you factor in the water temp of probably 48 degrees.

Given the looks of those waves... I'd be watching from shore.

NICE!!! I have to get out there- and maybe get something a little warmer than my 4/3 suit. Hmmm. To spend money on surfing or skiing

That makes a lot more sense. I was so confused. My buddy just got a surf shack down there, and we try to head out every weekend or two, although with the snow this year its tough to hop in the cold water.

nutcase, Your 4/3 will be fine, just get a hoodie and maybe booties, its a lot cheaper than picking up a new suit

Sounds like a good way to get your fix since your pass got pulled. Why not go hit it?

Westport isn't ridable when it gets that big, When its over 20 feet it turns into a giant washing machine as there are always swells from more than one direction. some surf bros and I have talked many a time about tow in surfing in the channel but the current moves so fast it would be about as brilliant as a world record setting JP huck
