What's happening at Taos?

I talked to some guys from NM at Wolfie on Sunday and they said there's NO FUCKING SNOW there, like man-made cruisers and that's it. This next storm should hit 'em, though.

I wouldn't bother coming down for a little while yet. Maybe by the end of Feb. Taos will have everything open. They already cancelled the Tele Freeskiing scheduled for early Feb., and I don't know the status of the New Mexico Freeskiing Champs or whatever they call that.

The bc is also sucking down here too, with a 1-2 ft layer of facets at the base of a very shallow snowpack. When we do get snow it will probably need to rip out and buid back up to be any good this winter.

I was there a week ago. All groomers. With another storm some additional terrain in the west basin should open. Still, all around bad year for Taos. The one thing you can count on is sunshine.

Coolio. Let's just HOPE there's some bc to be HAD. I know going to tacos taht late is always a gamble, but I dig the scene and always have a blast there.
