i dont ski fast.
i like it sometimes, but in general i like slower, wide turns in very soft snow the most... dunno why, and im most of the time the last one of the group, but i dont like high speed in general...

my tweeker neighbors probably think I'm one of their own when they see me with one of these....
but it's really just snow to ice my old-ass body.
I keep expecting some DEA frogman to jump out of the bushes and clobber me with his nightstick.
edit...heh..."snow" to "ice" my body...umm, it's really not drugs though.

Speed is fun. The adrenaline rush is a big part of skiing for me, but there are different ways to get it. Dropping into a steep chute or doing something that pushes the boundaries of my ability is another way to get it. Then, at the end of the day when I'm tired out, some slower runs focusing purely on technique don't elicit an adrenaline response but I do feel they help me become a better skier. The better my technique the faster I can ski and the longer I can go without tiring.
speed kills...
but slow bores... and and thats worse.
As fast as gravity, physical and mental states allow at any given time. And I don't wait at the bottom, it makes my feet hurtActually I think that most of the skis I've skied in the last few years work better at rather high velocities than at "normal" speeds.
