Didn't I see you in the gutter outside the Cask and Flagon wearing a neon Bogner and a holding copy of Raffi's greatest hits?

A word of friendly(unsolicited) advice; you might want to get a lay of the land before you start ripping on the locals. Your stay here will be a lot more pleasant.

True, but until you have been around for a while and people have gotten to know you, nobody really knows how to take you.

    FINALLY tuffy speaks the truth.

I've only heard that one tune by that guy and you hear it on the radio all the time...oddly enough not on 88.9 who has the best terrestrial reggae show in boston. Anyways, I'm a big reggae fan but his music doesn't feel or sound like reggae to me.
    thats new hampshire as fuck

^ 88.9 is an awesome station for reggae and underground hip hop. im suprised by the disliking of this guy. im a huge reggae fan as much of you all are and think hes pretty good. i wouldnt go as far as saying he is the worst. live at stubbs is a decent album.

I saw him on a late night show quite awhile back and laughed out loud. It was a funny sight to see a young man dressed (and looking) like a rabbi singing (poorly ) the reggae.

That said though, my reggae tastes to not extend much beyond Bob.

He is a legit hasidic jew. He used to be on phish tour for a long time, was on drugs and shit for a while, then cleaned up his life, refound his roots, and sings reggae...

    I give him props

I think that one song on the radio is okay, but the rest of the album is booty.

Yeah, anyone who looks like a Mohel, does (or did) drugs and lays down reggae stylings can't be all that bad. I remember three jews with a penchant for White Castle burgers who were persecuted for the same reasons years ago. I believe they hada decent, well respected career.

I had a surreal experience with this guy. Keystone, early season, not open yet. Phishshow, Z, and myself drive up a snowpacked road pretty damn drunk at 1:00 in the morning.
Z and I decided to ski back down the road as Phish drove behind us illuminating the way with his headlights and blaring "king without a crown".

It was fucking AWESOME. That was my introduction to "Matisyahu".
