Ummm, yeah, except that the Subie sells for about $4,000 more than even the GT version of the Mazda. The only way to get the Mazda up close to the Subie B.Spec is to completely option it out, including a nav system -- which you can't get on the Subie.

And like the Mazda, the Subie is sedan only.

I'm not saying it's not a fine mode of transport and all, but your umbrage appears misplaced.
