Got to Aly a day late, being as yesterday north face and high traverse were opened for the first time, however after messing around on the lower mountain with my friend who was telemarking for the second time ever we went to the top and did a quik run so he could calibrate his turning ability. The next run we decided to hit high travers being as there was still plenty of fresh to be had. so after a bout a ten minute travers we dropped in, it wasn't uber steep or super deep but it was untouched for the the season (well enough that you didn't have to cross other peroples tracks) i suppose if my skis weren't fat I would have sank way deep and been unable to turn. Thank you McKonkey for fat skis they are the best thing ever. That being said heres a picture of the view from high traverse
