the best you can imagine: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsavneur.html

in the brown field you can choose between the different modells (preferably GFS) in green choose your region (eg. europe, middle europe, US...) in grey you find the links to the different indicators like: wind, precipitation, 2meter temperature, pressure... also you will find there a couple of numbers as links. they show you what the modell predicts for your selected indicators in X hours from now.

if you have trouble understanding the few words you find on that site, use: http://dict.leo.org/ or: http://europa.eu.int/eurodicautom/Controller for translation.

a few examples from the GFS modells:

low high pressure for friday 20th 6 am for europe.

precipitation in millimeters for middleeurope tonight at 6pm

clouds in europe as calculated for sunday 22nd at noon.

if you click on animation you can see most of those indicators as a film over a selected period of time.

besides that, I use meteosuisse for switzerland, very often http://meteo.chamonix.com and the weatherreports of the local avalanchebulletins.

to understand the snowpack in relation to the weather in switzerland, there is nothing better than: http://wa.slf.ch/ .

to observe the depths of snow in switzerland: http://www.slf.ch/swiss-snow/hn1dc.html

somebody just posted this link on a german skiing board: http://www.westwind.ch/?name=xgfs

it's an impressive collection of weatherlinks mainly for europe. for example here, you'll find (all the?) webcams in the alps: http://www.westwind.ch/w_0liv.php
